Lilla Simon is a PhD candidate employed at the Center for Life cycle engineering of the University of Southern Denmark, with co-supervision from the University of Copenhagen. Her main area of research revolves around circular transition efforts and environmental sustainability assessment of emerging technologies in wastewater treatment, with a focus on resource- and energy recovery from various wastewater streams. Lilla is involved in two international projects, Horizon2020 project Walnut and Indo-Danish collaboration ZDHydro as responsible for the environmental sustainability assessment and techno-economic assessment of developed technologies. She has experience in consequential-, ex-ante and prospective life cycle assessment, as well as novel technologies at lower technological readiness levels and associated assessment challenges.
